PANELISTS

Barry Dyck's extensive teaching experience spans grades 7-12 and multiple subject areas. His interests include multiliteracies, self-determined learning, and digital technologies. He has instructed teacher candidates at U of M and U of W, worked for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning, and currently works as a substitute teacher. He is also a devoted husband and father of four sons and two grandsons.

Sean Giesbrecht is a SY Teacher-Librarian in the Pembina Trails School Division. He holds a Masters in Education from Queen's University and is the Vice-President, Collective Bargaining, of the Pembina Trails Teachers' Association.

Kirsten Thompson is the divisional Coordinator of ICT for the Mountain View School Division. She is a Microsoft Education Trainer as well as a Level 1 Google Certified Educator. She is a Ph.D candidate in the area of educational software evaluation. When she is not at school, Kirsten and her husband are busy working on the family farm, enjoying their remote lake cabin, or keeping up with their favourite football team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Samantha Adamson is a high school computer science teacher in River East Transcona School Division and is in her 7th year of teaching. She previously taught English but has grown the computer science program and it is now her main teachable. Samantha also runs several technology clubs focusing on creativity and collaboration.
